GlucoseGuard

Personal diabetes-management notification software, developed and operated by Michael McHenry.

What it is

GlucoseGuard is a private, non-commercial software system that monitors an enrolled user's continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and insulin pump data — accessed with the user's authorization through the device manufacturers' data services — and sends the enrolled user automated, informational SMS reminders. Typical reminders include a likely missed meal bolus, sustained elevated glucose without a logged correction, low insulin supply, or a gap in sensor data.

Who it serves

GlucoseGuard is a personal project serving enrolled family members only. It is not a commercial product, is not offered to the public, and sends no marketing or promotional content. Messages are informational reminders only; GlucoseGuard does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a medical device or emergency alert system.

Messaging program

Enrollment is by signed written consent only. Message frequency varies with glucose activity (typically well under 100 messages per month). Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. See the program Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
