GlucoseGuard Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how GlucoseGuard, a personal diabetes-management notification program operated by Michael McHenry ("we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects information in connection with its SMS messaging program.

1. Information we collect

For enrolled users only, and only with their written consent, we collect and process:

(a) the enrolled user's name and mobile phone number, provided on the signed enrollment form; (b) continuous glucose monitor (CGM) readings and insulin pump event data, accessed through the device manufacturers' authorized data services using credentials the enrolled user has provided; and (c) delivery records of messages sent through the program.

2. How we use information

Information is used solely to operate the notification program: analyzing glucose and pump data to detect reminder conditions, sending SMS reminders to the enrolled user's mobile number, and honoring opt-out requests. We do not use any collected information for marketing or advertising, and the program sends no promotional content.

3. Information sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information, health data, or mobile phone numbers with any third parties, except for the service providers strictly necessary to transmit messages (our SMS delivery provider) and as required by law. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.

4. Messaging program details

Enrollment in the SMS program is voluntary and occurs only through a signed written consent form. Message frequency varies depending on glucose activity. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time; opt-out requests are honored immediately.

5. Data retention and security

Health and messaging data are retained only as long as needed to operate the program and are stored on access-controlled personal systems. Signed consent forms are retained as records of enrollment for as long as the program operates.

6. Your choices

An enrolled user may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at the address below, after which no further messages will be sent.
